We all know that the United States is the country with the most mercenaries in the world. Because the U.S. military is large in size, especially with many overseas dispatch missions, many U.S. military officers and soldiers have been stationed overseas to perform missions during their service and have accumulated rich combat experience. After retiring, U.S. military officers and soldiers often join private military companies while they are in good condition and continue to perform high-risk missions overseas. For these high-risk missions, employers are often willing to pay high remunerations, and a lot of money is calculated by the hour. As long as you are lucky enough to escape a few disasters, you will basically be able to make a fortune. Therefore, many U.S. military officers and soldiers make a fortune by being mercenaries after retiring. After a few years of hard work, you may not have to worry about the rest of your life.

The United States is indeed one of the few countries that can make a fortune in war. There are many private military companies in the United States with extensive business. When the Russian-Ukrainian conflict broke out, the United States and European countries invested huge amounts of money to support the war in Ukraine, and a large amount of money was used to pay mercenaries. But why are American mercenaries so weak when they arrive in Russia? There are several main reasons.
First of all, the U.S. military has the world's best combat system, strong intelligence support, air cover, and the world's best firepower. But the mercenaries obviously don't have these supports. Even if they have strong personal combat experience, facing the fierce artillery and bombing of the Russian army, these mercenaries are actually no different from ordinary soldiers.

Secondly, mercenaries value their lives more. The purpose of mercenaries fighting is to make money, and they have to live to spend it. Therefore, the first principle of mercenaries fighting on the front line is to protect themselves. Once they find that the situation is not good, they will definitely run away. Didn’t the Russian army also say that they can’t completely annihilate the American mercenaries because they run too fast?
Finally, after entering Ukraine, the US mercenaries actually participated in the combat less directly. Most of them were responsible for training, serving as staff officers, or leading troops. Only in a few cases did the mercenaries fight on the front line. The Kursk operation was a rare offensive operation by the Ukrainian army deep into the Russian mainland, so a large number of mercenaries joined. But in general, the US mercenaries are very cunning, so try to avoid entering the most dangerous areas.
Therefore, even if the US mercenaries have actual combat experience and are very powerful, they cannot influence the outcome of the ground battle between Russia and Ukraine. It is hard to say whether the US volunteer pilots who come to Ukraine to fly F-16s may play a greater role. But in the final analysis, if you really want to win a war with mercenaries, it is definitely not possible, especially when fighting against Russia, which has a strong strategic reserve, a broad strategic depth, and a strong and warlike folk customs. The US mercenaries are just a group of hooligans who make money.
