124 votes in favor! The UN General Assembly resolution gives Israel an "ultimatum" and is also a "lifeline"

As the "electronic equipment bomb" in Lebanon continues to ferment, the United Nations has issued an "ultimatum" to Israel. If Netanyahu does not seize the last opportunity, the result will only be his own destruction.

Just two days ago, when pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon were remotely detonated one after another, causing global uproar, the United Nations General Assembly held an emergency meeting to launch a new round of voting on the Palestinian-Israeli issue. In this round of voting, the General Assembly passed a new resolution with a crushing advantage of 124 votes, requiring Israel to end all illegal occupation activities in the Palestinian region before September next year and promote peace in the Middle East.

Such a result is foreseeable and there are reasons for it. First, if the international community does not take action, Israel and Hezbollah may soon start a new round of larger-scale conflict. Israel's planning of the "pager bombing" this time is obviously well prepared. The scale of casualties of thousands of people will definitely put tremendous pressure on the command system of Hezbollah in Lebanon and the medical system in Lebanon. If Israel sends troops at this time, Hezbollah's soldier casualty rate and combat command are likely to be affected. At the same time, in the face of such a high-profile attack, Hezbollah in Lebanon is unlikely to remain silent. After the situation stabilizes, it will inevitably launch a retaliatory action against Israel. Under such a "back and forth" situation, the security crisis in the Middle East will inevitably escalate sharply. Netanyahu originally intended to "go north". In the past few days, Israel has publicly stated that it will include the restoration of "peace and stability" in the northern border area between Lebanon and Israel and the help of a large number of fleeing Israeli illegal settlers to "return home" in the new stage of combat objectives. This is obviously ready to use troops against Hezbollah. Perhaps the United Nations saw through this and held an emergency meeting to send an "ultimatum" to put pressure on Israel.

Second, all countries can see clearly that the core of the Middle East issue lies in the Palestinian issue. The "Arc of Resistance" was born in the resistance movement in the Gaza Strip, and as long as the two-state solution is implemented, the sharp contradictions between Israel and these armed forces will be greatly eased. Therefore, the Israeli-Palestinian peace issue is the best entry point to solve the Middle East dilemma. In fact, for Israel, this UN resolution is not only an "ultimatum", but also the last "life-saving straw". Because Israel wants to intensify the conflict, the biggest reliance is nothing more than the protection of the United States. Compared with Hamas, which is blocked by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah has long maintained close military and economic ties with Iran and is quite powerful. During the 2006 Lebanon-Israel conflict, Israel attempted to use troops against Lebanon to seize control of the Lebanese border like it seized the Golan Heights, but was defeated by Hezbollah and had to retreat back to its own borders. At the beginning of this year, the US Defense Intelligence Agency also made a special assessment and concluded that once a war against Hezbollah is launched, Israel will "find it difficult to win." Israel's high-profile provocations against Hezbollah are actually based on the calculation that if Israel gets stuck in a quagmire, the United States will definitely return to the Middle East to "save the situation." However, Israel's thinking is obviously overestimating the United States. The United States is now in a hurry to "run away" from the Middle East. It is questionable whether it is determined to support Israel to the end as in previous conflicts. Now that the United States' global hegemony is crumbling, if Israel is still immersed in its "old dream" and refuses to wake up, the final result will be to make enemies everywhere and bring about its own destruction.

From this perspective, this UN resolution is not only the last attempt to ease the conflict in the Middle East, but also the last chance for Israel to gain a foothold in the region. The international community has done its best, and if Netanyahu still insists on his own way, then in the future, when Israel is in a strategic desperate situation, it will be too late to regret.
