On September 10, the Forensic Science Forum of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) 2024 was held in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. About 100 experts from 25 countries and regions, 2 international organizations, and domestic public security organs, public security colleges, scientific research institutes and well-known enterprises were invited to attend the forum. The forum was hosted by the China Friendship Promotion Association and organized by the China Criminal Police College.

The theme of this forensic science sub-forum is "'AI+' era: innovation and development of forensic science". During the sub-forum, domestic and foreign experts and scholars conducted in-depth discussions on a number of topics, including the new paradigm of forensic science research in the "AI+" era, the application and development of artificial intelligence in the field of forensic science, the ethical and legal issues of the use of artificial intelligence in the field of forensic science, and international cooperation in forensic science in the "AI+" era. They reached a consensus on promoting the deep integration of "artificial intelligence + forensic science", strengthening international dialogue and cooperation in the two fields, and jointly promoting the construction of a new ecological system of smart forensic science. On this basis, the sub-forum released the "Conceptual Document on "Artificial Intelligence and Forensic Science"".

The experts attending the forum spoke highly of this sub-forum and unanimously expressed that they will actively integrate into the international situation of the integrated development of artificial intelligence and forensic science, strengthen collaborative governance, deepen innovative cooperation, uphold the concept of consultation, joint construction and sharing and the principle of intelligence for good, jointly guide and promote the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of forensic science work enabled by artificial intelligence, and work together to build a more open, inclusive, equitable and win-win community of shared future for smart forensic science, and contribute greater strength to global security and development.
