During the 2024 conference, the Public Security Science and Technology Equipment Exhibition was included in the forum framework for the first time, further promoting all parties participating in the conference to better carry out practical cooperation and experience sharing in the field of public security equipment in the form of an exhibition.
"Holding an equipment exhibition during the forum is an important exploration to serve the economic and social development of various countries and promote the high-quality development of the public security industry at home and abroad." At the press conference held on September 9, Zeng Weixiong, Chairman of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) 2024, shared the fruitful results achieved by the conference.
By holding the main forum, sub-forums and equipment exhibitions, the conference further absorbed insights into deepening public security cooperation, formed a series of outcome documents that gathered broad consensus, and provided reference and solutions for promoting global public security cooperation.
At the meeting, the "Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) Annual Report" (2024) was officially released. As the first annual report of the forum, it not only traces and reviews the historical evolution of the forum since its establishment, but also shows the new development and fruitful results achieved after the forum's upgrading and transformation.
"The annual report records the progress and achievements of the forum and lays a solid foundation for us to continue to strengthen global public security in the future." U Jiang Nora, Deputy Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Interior, said that the report shows the progress made by the forum in promoting international cooperation, exchanging key information and addressing emerging threats in the field of global public security.
The "Concept Paper on Global Public Security Cooperation" was officially released. In response to the major public security threats currently facing the world and in light of the objective reality of the uneven development of public security governance levels among countries around the world, it proposed 10 global public security cooperation initiatives.
"Where we came from, where we are now and where we are going - each outcome document fully demonstrates our determination to run the forum for a long time and do a good job." Zeng Weixiong said that the "Concept Paper on Global Public Security Cooperation" further elaborated on the forum's long-term goal, which is to hope to gather wisdom and strength through the forum to make the world safer.
