The 2024 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) opened in Lianyungang, Jiangsu on the 9th. State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech.

Wang Xiaohong said that in the face of changes in the world, the times and history, China is willing to work with all countries in the world to practice a common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security concept, pay attention to mutual respect, comprehensive measures, win-win cooperation and long-term efforts, deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of public security, continue to build a community of responsibility, community of interests and community of destiny, and jointly promote the global public security governance system to develop in a more fair, reasonable and efficient direction. China will take practical actions to contribute Chinese wisdom and strength to global public security governance.
Interpol President Ellas delivered a speech, and Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Zahid, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Dacic and other guests spoke. The theme of this conference is "Win-win Cooperation under Changing Situations: Building a Global Public Security Community".
On the same day, Wang Xiaohong met with Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Zahid, Interior Minister Saifuddin, Myanmar Interior Minister Yabi, Zambian Minister of Interior and Internal Security Mwembu, Nicaraguan National Police Director General Dias, and Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Grodov who were attending the forum.
When meeting with Zahid and Saifuddin, Wang Xiaohong expressed his willingness to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and the "China-Malaysia Friendship Year" as an opportunity to maintain high-level exchanges and strategic communication, deepen law enforcement and security cooperation, and promote the construction of a China-Malaysia community with a shared future in a deeper and more practical way.
Zahid and Saifuddin expressed their congratulations on China's successful hosting of the 2024 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang), and expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation with China in areas such as law enforcement and security, and continuously enrich the connotation of the Malaysia-China community with a shared future.
When meeting with Yabi, Wang Xiaohong expressed his willingness to deepen law enforcement and security cooperation with Myanmar, continue to cooperate in combating cross-border crimes such as telecommunications network fraud and drug trafficking, and jointly safeguard the security and development interests of the two countries.
Yabi said that Myanmar will take effective measures to combat cross-border crimes such as telecommunications and Internet fraud, and effectively protect the safety of Chinese personnel, institutions and projects in Myanmar.
When meeting with Mwembu, Wang Xiaohong expressed his willingness to strengthen high-level exchanges and personnel exchanges with the Zambian side, enhance cooperation in building security and law enforcement capabilities for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", and inject new impetus into the China-Zambia comprehensive strategic partnership.
Mwembu expressed his willingness to deepen the traditional friendship between Zambia and China and to push forward the development of bilateral relations through higher-level law enforcement and security cooperation.
When meeting with Diaz, Wang Xiaohong expressed his willingness to strengthen personnel exchanges at all levels with the Nepalese side, enhance cooperation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" security, combating transnational crime, and building law enforcement capabilities, and push the strategic partnership between the two countries to a new level.
Diaz said that Nigeria looks forward to learning from China's successful experience, deepening practical cooperation in the field of law enforcement and security, and bringing more benefits to the Nigerian people.
When meeting with Grodov, Wang Xiaohong said that the two sides should, in accordance with the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen cooperation in areas such as combating transnational crime and criminal judicial assistance, and promote greater results in the law enforcement and judicial cooperation between the two countries.
Grodov expressed his willingness to strengthen communication with China and deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two departments.
