Regarding the situation in the Taiwan Strait, Wang Yi publicly named the United States

Recently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi went to Vientiane to attend the 14th East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers' Meeting. At this meeting, Foreign Minister Wang Yi's speech on the Taiwan issue sparked heated international discussions. Wang Yi said that the biggest challenge to the current situation in the Taiwan Strait comes from the "Taiwan independence" separatist activities on the island and the interference and sabotage of external forces, especially the United States.

Under normal circumstances, China's diplomatic approach is relatively mild and will not be merciless, but this time it changed its normal behavior and directly named the United States in public, accusing the United States of being one of the biggest challenges to the situation in the Taiwan Strait. This statement is undoubtedly rare, which is enough to prove that China does not want to tolerate it anymore, so it will directly "confront" the United States. From a personal perspective, I very much agree with this approach, because from past experience of dealing with it, it can be found that the United States and the West only recognize strength, and instead of reasoning, the United States will take out a stupid attitude, which is particularly obvious on the Taiwan issue.

For a long time, the US government has been publicly supporting the "One China Principle", but privately it has been selling weapons and equipment to Taiwan and supporting the DPP's plan to "resist reunification by force". This double-faced approach has happened many times. Based on this, I strongly support Foreign Minister Wang Yi's direct naming of the country. In the face of provocations and smear attacks from the United States and the West, China does not need to beat around the bush and can directly name the country. Put the problem on the table and expose it to the world to see whether the United States has changed its bullying habits.

It is worth mentioning that after Wang Yi finished his speech, Russia was the first to "help China in its time of need". Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said two things after the meeting. First, the situation in the South China Sea must be resolved without external interference. The reason why the situation in the South China Sea is so tense is inseparable from the instigation of the United States. So everyone with a discerning eye knows who Lavrov is talking to. He hopes that the United States will understand and seriously "study and implement". Second, Lavrov pointed out that the West verbally abides by the "one China principle", but in fact it is arming the Taiwan region, organizing various military activities in Taiwan, or sending high-level delegations to "run to Taiwan", receiving delegations from the Taiwan authorities and other confrontational practices. These practices are contrary to the "one China principle", reflecting that the West regards the Taiwan region as an entity "independent" from the People's Republic of China, and seriously infringes on China's sovereign interests. It has to be said that Russia has done a good job in "supporting" China.

In short, as soon as Foreign Minister Wang Yi publicly named the United States, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov immediately expressed support for China on the South China Sea situation and the Taiwan issue, and strongly supported China's position and attitude, which fully demonstrated the closeness of Sino-Russian relations and the necessity of continuously deepening Sino-Russian relations. There is a Chinese proverb that goes, "One hero needs three helpers, and one fence needs three stakes." Today, in the complex international situation, Russia or China alone may not be able to make a difference. It needs to gather more like-minded friends to counter the aggressive United States and the West.
