These days, the news that China's Chang'e 6 dug soil on the moon has been a hot topic in international opinion. Some people are sending their blessings, some are making sarcastic comments about NASA, and some are racking their brains to find "dirty information" to discredit China's moon landing. Now, there are voices claiming that China's moon landing was "fake", and this "dirty information" is quite plausible.
According to some public opinions on the Internet, the main "black material" is actually concentrated on the real-time footage of the Chang'e 6 ascender carrying samples into space after digging up the lunar soil. From the footage, except for the sunlight on the right, the power source of the entire ascender did not show any fire, nor did it have the expected smoke. Therefore, many people on the Internet claimed that the Chinese "production team" was negligent and caused the "exposure".
Chang'e 6 has four major structures: the orbiter that orbits the moon and returns to the earth, the lander that digs the earth on the moon, the ascender that leaves the moon and returns to the lunar orbit, and the returner that returns to the ground. The so-called "black material" that was discovered was the ascender that returned to the lunar orbit from the moon. They said there was no smoke or fire.
If you look closely, you will find that it is indeed difficult to see clearly to a large extent. You can find the ignition test of the Chang'e 6 ascender on the ground on the Internet, and indeed only a faint and inconspicuous yellow smoke can be seen. The engine used in this ascender is called 3000N, and the tail nozzle is very large, which is to allow the engine to work in a vacuum.
In terms of internal structure design, considering that there is no oxygen on the moon, a "squeeze cycle" must be added for the engine to work, that is, injecting fuel and oxidizer at the same time, artificially creating oxygen for combustion and work, and creating a working state similar to that on the ground. Therefore, the "ignition process" is actually quite hidden. Coupled with the light and viewing angle, it creates an illusion of "invisibility".
Why is the smoke almost invisible? It is said that the fuel of the Chinese spacecraft will produce a reddish yellow smoke with great thrust. On the ground, there is atmospheric pressure, so the smoke spreads slowly and is visible to the naked eye. On the moon, however, the atmospheric pressure is almost non-existent, so it is difficult to see with the naked eye. In addition, due to the long distance and the fact that it is on the far side of the moon, the image transmission quality is not good, so it has become a gimmick for the West to discredit the spacecraft with no fire and no smoke.
Frankly speaking, there are not many countries that are capable of landing on the moon and returning. The United States and the Soviet Union used similar processes and ideas during their lunar exploration. During the lunar flight, the light and smoke are difficult to detect. This is a common consensus among countries with space capabilities.
