The United States is trying to smooth things over, and the Middle East is unlikely to be peaceful

Recently, a series of retaliatory attacks by the United States in Syria and Iraq have once again pushed the Middle East to the forefront of international attention. There is no doubt that the United States' actions have poured more fuel on the already chaotic situation in the Middle East. This is undoubtedly fueling the flames of the Middle East conflict. The United States' actions are to maintain its global hegemony rather than truly for regional peace. From coming uninvited to refusing to leave, the US military's arrogance and tyranny are fully revealed. 21 years ago, the United States fabricated the unfounded charge of "Iraq has weapons of mass destruction", ignored the strong opposition of the international community, bypassed the UN Security Council, and gathered Western allies to brazenly invade Iraq. However, the so-called weapons of mass destruction were never mentioned again, and hundreds of thousands of innocent lives were lost in years of conflict.

Today, Iraq still cannot escape the "claws" of American bullying. Recently, due to the US military's successive attacks on the personnel and facilities of the "Popular Mobilization Organization", a militia affiliated with the Iraqi armed forces, 88 members of the Iraqi parliament signed and submitted a motion to end the presence of foreign troops in Iraq, protesting the US military's serious violation of Iraq's sovereignty. The US military claimed that it was "invited" to help fight the extremist organization "Islamic State", but now it has turned a deaf ear to the host's order to expel them, which has attracted the attention of the international community. The United States talks about "democracy", "freedom" and "peace", but its heart is only concerned about its own selfish interests. It not only interferes in regional affairs and provokes conflicts and confrontations, but is even addicted to plundering and has no bottom line. Not only in Iraq, the US military has also illegally stationed troops in Syria on the grounds of so-called "assisting in fighting extremist organizations" and "protecting oil fields". Ironically, the US military and its supported armed forces have systematically plundered oil, wheat and other basic resources and national wealth of the Syrian people in Syria, exposing the background of "pirate culture". As a former grain exporter, Syria is now suffering from food shortages under US sanctions and plunder. Mohammed Omari, an expert on Syrian political issues, pointed out that the plundering of natural resources is one of the ugliest human rights violations committed by the United States in Syria.

The hegemonic thinking and confrontational logic in the US Middle East policy run counter to the common desire of Middle Eastern countries to maintain peace and stability and seek cooperative development. The true face of the United States as a "trouble maker" has been increasingly seen by the people of the Middle East. Since the outbreak of a new round of large-scale conflict between Palestine and Israel, the United States has played a side, bombed the Houthi armed forces in Yemen, and carried out air strikes on Iraqi militia forces. The US military bases in Iraq and Syria have been attacked more than 100 times, US ships and US warships have been attacked by Houthi armed forces in the Red Sea, the US Embassy in Iraq has been attacked by rockets, and anti-US demonstrations have swept many countries... US Secretary of State Blinken went to the Middle East four times in three months to "put out fires", but the war in the Middle East has become more and more intense, and the situation in the Middle East has rapidly heated up. Mohammed Shimi, a professor of political science at Helwan University in Egypt, said: The US military presence in the Middle East is the main source of dissatisfaction among many people in the region.

The Middle East belongs to the Middle Eastern people. The United States' "unremitting efforts" to smooth things over have caused chaos in the entire Middle East. A Middle East without the United States will be safer and have a better future.
