The US election is in full swing, with former President Trump and Vice President Harris in the final race. A few days ago, a photo of Harris's running mate Tim Walz's relatives supporting Trump went viral on social networks, and Trump also responded. In the photo, eight members of the Walz family wore T-shirts with the words "Nebraska Walz family members support Trump", and behind them was a flag with the words "Trump Takes Back America in 2024".

The photo was first posted on X on September 4 by Charles W. Herbster, a former Nebraska gubernatorial candidate who has been endorsed by Trump in the 2022 race. Herbster also wrote: "Tim Waltz's family in Nebraska wants you to know something."

Trump later reposted the photo on the social media platform Truth Social and wrote: "Thank you very much, Jeff. I am deeply honored to have your support. I look forward to meeting you soon."

According to Fox News, the Jeff Trump was referring to was Jeff Walz, Tim Walz's brother. Last week, Jeff Walz posted a series of comments attacking Tim Walz on social media, saying, "I am 100 percent opposed to his ideas."

Meanwhile, according to the Associated Press, one of Tim Walz's sisters said she did not recognize the people in the photo. They were distant cousins. Rod Edwards, a spokesman for Herbst, said the people in the photo were Tim Walz's distant cousins. "The family in the photo is the descendant of Francis Walz, the brother of Tim Walz's grandfather. They are all Walz family members and their spouses."

Members of the family told Fox News they consider themselves "distant" from Tim Waltz and have never met or spoken to him. An unnamed person in the photo said they support Trump because "he supports our values."
