Trump calls Harris' first interview 'incoherent'

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Harris gave an exclusive interview to CNN. Republican presidential candidate and former President Trump began to criticize Harris before the interview was broadcast.

The New York Times reported that after watching a clip of Harris' CNN interview on Thursday morning, Trump criticized Harris for dragging her running mate Waltz to accompany her for the interview, and accused Harris of "chattering" and "incoherent". About 30 minutes before Harris' interview was broadcast, Trump said in a speech to the crowd at the La Crosse City Hall in Wisconsin that Harris was interviewed at a four-person table in a restaurant in Savannah, Georgia, and did not have the style of a president at all. Trump said: "She sat behind a huge table and did not look like a leader at all." Trump also said: "To be honest, I don't think she can negotiate with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and I don't think she can talk to Kim Jong-un like we do. So let's wait and see."

After Harris' CNN interview ended, Trump, who is always eloquent, only wrote the word "boring" (BORING!) in capital letters on his social media platform Truth Social.

Trump and his campaign have criticized Harris for weeks for not holding press conferences or giving interviews to major news outlets.

Trump has held two press conferences since Harris became the Democratic presidential candidate, which were held only to mock Harris and show his willingness to face media questions. Last week, he also accepted interviews from some mainstream media.

But after Harris agreed to an interview with CNN anchor Dana Bash, Trump attacked Harris almost immediately. On the eve of the broadcast of Harris' interview, Trump predicted on social media that "Kamala (Harris's name) will definitely make a mistake" and tried to pressure Bash to "not be biased" when asking questions. He also believed that Waltz's interview with Harris might give Harris an undue advantage, and questioned the fairness of Harris' interview.

Bash asked Harris about her shift in stance since her defeat in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, and Trump called Bash's questioning style "very weak" and expressed dissatisfaction with Harris's answer.

Trump also called Harris a "comrade" again on Truth Social, saying: "I very much look forward to debating Comrade Kamala Harris and exposing her as a liar. Harris has changed her position on everything for a long time."
