The Global Public Security Cooperation Forum 2024 Conference and Public Security Technology and Equipment Exhibition opened recently. Heads of governments, law enforcement agencies, international organizations from more than 100 countries and regions around the world, and well-known experts and scholars from home and abroad gathered together to discuss global public security cooperation.
This year's Public Security Technology Equipment Exhibition is the first exhibition established under the framework of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang), with the theme of "Safety without Boundaries, Development without Smooth Flow". A total of 45 leading enterprises in the field of public security and professional companies of police equipment are invited to participate in the exhibition. The equipment exhibition is hosted by the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security.
This public security technology and equipment exhibition will last for 6 days, with a total exhibition area of more than 6,000 square meters. There are 5 exhibition areas in total, which will showcase the latest scientific and technological achievements in the field of public security, including advanced technologies and latest products in the fields of criminal technology, police equipment and protective equipment, traffic management equipment, anti-terrorism and rescue, command and communication, etc., providing a good interactive communication environment and in-depth docking platform for forum guests and exhibitors, and promoting the high-quality development of the global public security industry.
2024 is known as the "first year of low-altitude economy". As a new type of productivity, low-altitude economy is gradually becoming a new engine to drive social and economic growth. According to statistics, as of now, 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, as well as corresponding provincial capitals and key cities across the country have issued policies and plans related to "low-altitude economy".
As the foundation for the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy, low-altitude safety has become the focus of the industry. Building a solid "safety foundation" for low altitude has become a consensus in the industry. Frequent "illegal flying" of drones, such as disrupting flights, illegal sneak shots, and cross-border smuggling, have brought a series of public safety risks. Detecting and preventing "illegal flying" drones has become an important issue in the development of the low-altitude economy.
Wu Zhiqiang, chairman of the Unmanned Systems Safety Committee of the China Security Products Industry Association, elaborated on the role of drones in future air traffic and public safety and the importance of building a low-altitude drone safety management platform.
In terms of the technology supporting the creation of a low-altitude "safety base", Shanghai Tejin Company brought TDOA grid-based drone supervision technology sharing, explaining the public security department's needs for drone detection, identification, positioning, tracking, countermeasures and management. Jiang Huajing, chairman of Shanghai Tejin Wireless Company, introduced the technical principles of TDOA, as well as the outlook for the future development of the low-altitude economy and future trends in low-altitude supervision technology.
Participants at the meeting believed that in order to allow various low-altitude aircraft represented by drones to "fly" and "be controlled", it is necessary to improve the construction of low-altitude infrastructure, build an urban low-altitude monitoring network, and integrate various technical means such as TDOA spectrum sensing to implement dynamic monitoring of various types of drones, so as to better ensure the safety of low-altitude airspace.
