Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting the United States. In an interview with U.S. media on September 22, he criticized former U.S. President Trump and his running mate Cyrus Vance. Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., was angry.

On September 24, Trump Jr. retweeted a post by netizen Greg Price on social media X, which read: "Zelensky is now touring an ammunition factory in Pennsylvania and attacking Trump and Vance in the American media. A foreign leader is actually campaigning for Harris on American soil."

Trump Jr. also commented: "So, a foreign leader, who has received billions of dollars in funding from American taxpayers, comes to our Country and has the audacity to attack the Republican nominee for President? He does this after a pro-Ukrainian fanatic tried to assassinate my father? Shameless!"

Zelensky is visiting the United States. In an interview with The New Yorker magazine on September 22, he said that Trump actually does not know how to end the Russia-Ukraine war, although he thinks he knows.

Zelensky also criticized Vance for being too extreme, saying he wanted Ukraine to give up territory to end the Russian-Ukrainian war. "He seems to mean that Ukraine must make sacrifices. This brings us back to the question of the cost of ending the war and who will bear these costs. The idea that the world should end this war at the expense of Ukraine is unacceptable." Zelensky previously revealed that he will meet with US President Biden, Vice President Harris and former President Trump separately, and submit a "victory plan" to them, calling on the United States to increase aid to Ukraine. The White House revealed that Zelensky will visit the White House on September 26, and Biden and Harris will meet separately.

Although Trump said last week that he might meet with Zelensky during his visit to the U.S., Reuters reported that sources close to Trump said there is currently no meeting between the two. Zelensky visited a weapons factory in Pennsylvania with Harris ally Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro over the weekend, a visit that angered some of Trump's aides given that it took place in an election battleground.

On the afternoon of September 15, local time, former US President and Republican presidential candidate Trump suffered another assassination attempt. The gunman was accused of being related to Ukraine. He "fanatically" supported Ukraine after the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and had recruited soldiers for Ukraine.
