The Daily Beast, an American news website, reported on August 12 that two photos allegedly showing JD Vance wearing women's clothing have quickly become popular on the social platform X. In the photos, a man suspected to be Vance wears a blonde wig, a tight top and a long skirt, and is paired with an exaggerated necklace and a women's leather bag.
The person who exposed the photos is Travis Whitfill, who does not know Vance. He said that the photos were taken by Vance's classmates at Yale Law School at a Halloween party and leaked from Vance's classmates' group chat. When Travis got the photos from his friends, he forwarded them to Matt Bernstein, who posted the photos on X. A spokesperson for Vance's campaign team has not denied the authenticity of the photos, but also refused to make any comment.
Currently, the photo has received more than 10,000 likes and reposts on X, sparking discussions among the LGBTQ+ community in the U.S. Vance has previously proposed some bills to restrict the rights of this group.
